Hi Pommpu,

virtual tracker? Just thinkig about how to configure?

To get this working you have to get perfect knowledge what a Simtool value is real world movement of your head set.

Simtool (axis% plus tuning value) - RC4 actuaor angle to axis movement (not linear!) - 3 dimensional position of headset related to actuators. Sound difficult.

Why not simply purchasing a tracker (Vive?). That'S it. (in my opinion)

Hi,

this virtual approach can't work with our 4DOF system. Maybe with simulators without rotation, or slipless rotation. But the RC4 sometimes has some slip in the rotation module (wheel slip) and if this happens, simtools has no feedback about. You would have a different orientation in your vehicle.

Hi, yes I agree. I've been slow to understand, but when I've studied this thing, that's the way it is.

With Virtual Tracker, you have to think differently. One way would be to let FlyPT Mover control the RC and put SimTools as a source. It would be hard to learn how to use Mover and adapt it with the RC. It's not worth the effort. But that suggestion of yours is interesting, I will look into it.
