Video Created to assist others with Setting up a Fasetech Race cube,
I've basically tried to give others hints and tips that you may find useful.
1. Rig Set up Guide 0 to 11.47
2. Rig Overview 11.48 to 13.48
3. Setting Motion Compensation 13.49 to 14.9
4. Oval Track driving, Pit stop, Doughnuts 14.9 to End
After making this Video i have now complete changed my Sim tools settings for a more aggressive and accurate experience to match the Car,
Will post a new video on that soon along with sim tool settings..... Enjoy and I hope this helps...

Hi Joseph,
thanks for this video. Always great to see some new content about our favorite toy.
Great to see your settings, but I'm fully confused, they differ extremly to my ones. Especially the rotation. I only use it for traction loss only.
I will try to make a similar video one with ProjectCars2 - Indycar - Daytona Oval, to compare.

Thanks for the video
The main problem is the Yaw, as you see in my video it doesn't work to real life driving, it’s too much.
On ovals you reach a certain point and the whole rig turns 180 degrees or whatever you have it set too.
I've seen another rig that has unlimited yaw and they have the same problem.
On some road tracks its better but not perfect, work in progress, more to do to get it better.

Hey Joseph @jmb-3d
Great video again, always interesting to see your latest upgrades. Your DD wheel is making me jealous, cant get a single DD wheel in South Africa !!!
I've actually almost disabled the rotation module now, although as Michael (@michael-mariachera1-net) says it works better as Traction loss (setting of 6/-6 in Tuning centre & Gain 80, return 100). Works well with typical cars which have a loose rear.
Your rotation module seems very smooth, mine is quite jerky. After a full 30min race I also find I'm facing the wrong way
Been concentrating more on getting the feel right within the car. Another setting I've almost got rid of is Heave (Even as Extra2) Found the jerkiness too off-putting.
Dialled up Sway And Surge similar to Michael settings, but with a bit of filtering, then adjust car specific in Game Manager.
I've also been tinkering with Overclocking (I think we in sync) and found it made a huge difference in the VivePro graphics settings, allowing me to dial everything up and still maintain 90fps. Im going to try your idea on moving the Lighthouse directly above the tracker as I also get some flickering now and then.
Don't know if you tried the new OVRMC yet. It has a few bugs, but its really easy to setup. Although i think my issues might be solved by moving the lighthouse as well.
Thanks as always for sharing, think we need a Fasetech Team now.....Steffen are you listening??? @slaze_xe
@atb69 I am following this.
I have had a personal conversation with @jmb-3d about the rotation module, let me recap what i said;
As you might know, to make the rotation module more believable we would have to implement the correct movements, this means moving the machine physically around. Our old prototype did this with great authenticity BUT, it was not safe, it was expensive and required a lot of space, which 80% do not have or want to sacrifice. The best solution possible will be a slider (already exist) which comes with other problems and in our research more of them, or our approach. Now, the idea with rotating on the axis makes the best immersion for some scenarios but as you can adjust the platform you will be able to slide the pivot point back and forward.
Last, the settings are very important here, not too much and not too little. We are currently working with some teams to improve default settings to be more believable but it will still depend on your usage. We work with GT and F teams.
@atb69 Could you describe the jerkiness? Have it started recently? I know we have problems with Windows 10 2004 (May update) or, it is Microsofts problem and are caused by the USB drivers in the build. I do remember we spoke about the wheel, but i do not remember if you found a solution? Also, i am a bit uncertain that you received my last response to your email. Could you let me know?

Hi Joseph,
I made another video with Automobilista 2. In this video you can see the small yaw movements from tracktion loss.
Also I updated my config file for Automobilista 2

hey JMB! thanks for this. I have a simple question. I just got the Vive Tracker and will be mounting it on the seat. Do I need to hook up the dongle or do the Index sensors just pick it up?
Thank you
Hi,
if you are fine with just one controller and the tracker (as I use it) you don't need the dongle. It's if you need both controllers and a ore more trackers.
Be careful how to mount the tracker. If it's not rigit, please read Andrew's post.
