Hi Michael,

I am quite uncertain at this point as they have postponed it for 8 months now. I will be in contact with devs this week hopefully get more information.

Just a quick update on this one. While it has been postponed a lot of time, the developers are in the last phase and are getting Windows certificates to avoid warnings when installing. This means SimTools 3.0 will be an approved app by Microsoft and therefore be more stable. We expect the approval to be ready this month and we will start testing it.

Once I am certain it is working with our platforms I will release a beta. You will get it as a free update and it will be available as a download in your profile.

If you wish to continue to use SimTools 2.5.1 you can do so, we will not limit it as of now.

Hi,

Simtools 3 is now in public beta, I have been following this thread. Here are my findings (with Windows 11):

I downloaded the beta and installed it alongside the old version, activated it and started testing. Only two plugins that suited me were available for downloading (AC and DR2.0). I got the v3 beta to work very well 😀. I would like to see AMS2 plugins, but it is missing. Also, there is no MSFS plugin.

The min/max tuning settings of the default game-specific profiles in the beta version were easy to get going with, they also worked great, min/max values were good to start with. The min/max tuning settings are easy to fine-tune with the slider. Game plugin connections to my games did not go automatically, the connection must be done by pressing the Play button (at least for now), I don't know it this will change in the future.

GUI looks good, but community needs more guidance to do things, like car-specific "auto" connection and making different profiles etc. I trust that you gyus at Fasetech will help us with your guides and videos when we get that far...

Version 3 updated yesterday and dropped me to Demo mode. Now I have to activate my license again, I hope I get working again (some people had problems with licence activation).

At the moment SimTools 3 version feels really well finished. There haven't been any errors in my use, and I have use it for many hours already, with DR2 and AC.

PS: Accetto Corsa plugin stopped working with SimTools 2.5.1. I don't know if the patching for both versions should work at the same time.
