Hi Guys -
Been looking forward to this for a while and I see they are open for orders. My main question is, when you purchase something that is about 6k USD, you need it to operate flawlessly for about 2 years. Does this come with a warranty? I mean, what are you supposed to do if you buy it and after 3 months or even 9 months it just stops working? I guess the actuators could maybe just be swapped when they die, but what is the shelf life for an actuator? And, what about the other parts?
Lastly, what is the recommended use window? I'd assume it can't be used for like 8 hrs straight (for like an Endurance race), but even just a standard F1 type race would be 2 hrs, add in qualifying and practice and you are at about 3 hrs of consecutive use. Has use like this been a problem for anyone?
Thanks,
Clayton
Hi Clayton
There is 2 years of warranty, and should anything break then there is a few options depending on the problem. For small and easy fixes then we would send you the new part or module and you will be instructed on how to perform the repairs. On larger problems then we will either have you send the simulator back to us and then we will fix it and send it back or in some cases we can bring a spare part to you and we will come and perform the repairs our self.
That said the actuators is rated for 80'000 hours of use. So if you use it for 8 hours a day, that will last for over 25 years. And in regards to your concern whether it can be used for multiple hours, then that is no problem at all. We are testing them for commercial use right now, and they are operating up to 10 hours a day in that place. We also went to an expo in the spring where it ran for 24 hours over 3 days. It is build to last.
Best regards
Michael

Hi, should have thought to ask this initially but for the warranty does it matter that I'm in the US and Fasetech I guess is in Denmark? Just want to make sure I buy something thinking I have a warranty only to find out "sorry warranty is only for EU customers" or something like that.
Hi again,
The warranty is of course global. But i understand the need to make sure.
Best regards
Michael
