Hi,
When it comes to SIMS I am a total noob. I am having trouble getting the rig set up the way that I like it. Default settings are ok but some are just not right. Rig is moving different than what i am expecting it to move or sometimes move where it should not move.
So, if someone has got a pretty good setup, please share. Not out to duplicate someone else's settings. Just want to get a better understanding of how the software works.
Flying and Racing
Cheers 👍
Hi Sudaf,
Have you read through the SimTools guide on how to make your own settings? Most of the features are explained and you can configure it as you like. What games are you having trouble with? and have you updated SimTools recently? I have pushed out some updates recently, that should make it better.
If you can explain what axis you want more movement on i can guide you.

Steffen,
As this is my first ever time looking and trying to figure out the settings, i am sure that it's just a bit of rookyness that plays a big part. I have the simtools guide printed out and with me on the rig at all times to try and figure out how things fit together. From what i can make out, DOF1, DOF2, DOF3 and DOF4 is the only place where we can change settings? Does DOF1 relate to the front left actuator, DOF2 to front right actuator, DOF3 rear actuator and DOF4 to center actuator? Sorry for asking all these questions but I want to get the best experience out of this machine and i have very limited playtime on weekends when i am home (3-4 hours a weekend).
How can i get the rig to turn left when i turn left ingame and right when turning right? How do i set the maximum turn? How do i set the 0 point of the rig? Everytime I finish a race, i basically have to look over my right shoulder to see the fixed screen on the wall. The rig is not centered to the wall anymore but rather at a angle. (at the moment i am not using VR as i am waiting for a Vive set to arrive. Got a big screen fixed to the wall that I am using for now).
Game I am having a bit of trouble with is Project Cars 2. There is one bit in the Le Mans circuit (Mulsanne straight before Chicane 1) where the rig will suddenly lift on front right Actuator and turn slightly left. Just a straight road but feels weird everytime i go through there. Does not make sense that the rig should do that.
I probably have a million more questions but that will come later.
Thanks as always for the help 👍

Does DOF1 relate to the front left actuator, DOF2 to front right actuator, DOF3 rear actuator and DOF4 to center actuator? - this sentence is so not what i was trying to ask. Forget I asked this 🙂
Hi Sudaf,
I cannot remember if we got this resolved by email, if not please forgive me. It is quite hard to keep track of support threads on the forums. Please let me know if i can still assist you.
You are correct on the above, the 4th actuator is rotation module =)
