Hi Steffen
I’ve been steadily buying equipment needed for the Sim but stuck now on choices for the seat.
Can you put me in the right direction?
Can you provide the Sim with a seat?
Hi Sudaf,
The seat we are using is the "Sparco Sprint FIA Motorsport Bucket Seat" However you can use most seats made for motorsports. If you want an alternative the PlaySeats is also supported.
We are looking into being able to sell seats, however we do not have a good deal on them yet. I hope to have it within a month.
Regards
Steffen

Also Stefan do you think a recliner is possible? I was just looking at some http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod3582/Track-Bucket-Sports-Seat---DTX/ and also http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod4919/Track-Bucket-Sports-Seat---DTX-RECLINE/
any thoughts.

Just tried out this seat http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod4919/Track-Bucket-Sports-Seat---DTX-RECLINE/ <
im going with this seat, I like the slide/recline, and being able to move the seat so my son and friends can try out the simulator,
ive gone with the suede cloth and leather sides in black, the seat is really comfortable and holds you in position well squeezing nicly on the hips and shoulders, it weighs approx 15k, which is a little heavy but has the seat runner already fitted so will bolt straight on, just waiting on the dimensions and will send over for approvals.

That's a good lookin seat man! I'm also looking for a seat. Very smart to test it and make sure you're comfortable!
I wonder if I can test seats in holland somewhere
The Sparco Sprint FIA Motorsport Bucket Seat is base mounted only
Anybody knows if the seat has to be specifically a base mounted seat or can it be also sidemounted?
I was looking at this one, MOMO START COMPETITION RACING SEAT but in the description they say it's side mounted
Would it work?
It looks nice and is alse cheap
Thanks
Hey Gianlu,
Maybe this could work: https://www.biesheuvel.nl/sparco-steel-side-mounts.html
Thanks for the link Mav
i saw them as well
there are actually two kinds, one is like the kit in the link and the other is Just an L shaped one.
So the L shaped kit comes down completely straight before the 90 degree bend, I hope you understand what I mean
so in theory the seat should be ok
i just need to know from somebody at Fasetech what’s the distance between the two brackets that support the seat, basically I need the width between the arms that support the seat
the Momo start seat has a width of 400 mm so the vertical part of the steel side mount come down and between the left and right there is a distance of 400 mm but then they are bent 90 degrees
So the distance between the seat supporting arms on the race cube must be something less than 400 mm for this seat to work
I hope what I wrote makes sense
I’m going to send a mail to somebody at fasetech with the question and when I have an answer I will post it over here
may be this info could help somebody else as well
I'm curious to hear the results. Would be great to have some level of adjustability (recline/movie forward & backward). The seat is one of the last components I still need. Looking forward to the answers
The Momo start seat is not reclinable unfortunately
but this is one of the reasons why is cheap
If it can be mounted then for sure you can add those rails that move back and forth to make it moveable forward and back.
I’ve sent a mail to fasetech yesterday afternoon and as soon as they answer I will post the answer
usually they are quite fast at answering so let’s see....
Ok, I don't mind paying a bit extra for the adjustability. I wonder how Steffen solved this during the motorsport expo with all different types of people using the simulator. They do use the Sparco seat which doesn't seem adjustable. Is it solved by moving the pedals?
As long as the seat supports standard mounting, and it does not exceed the max weight you should be good to go. However, we recommend finding a light seat so that you will get the most out of the simulator.
Also, be aware that the seat can slide back and forth on the mounting we are providing. If your seat can also be adjusted, make sure you adjust it according to balance it probably.
Once the simulator is in balance it will perform the most =)

Currently i use the "Sparco Sprint FIA Motorsport Bucket Seat", it fits most people, but if you have wide hips you might not find it comfortable.
the ergonomics is great if you are below 90kg and it will keep you in place due to the sides of the seat.
I would say it is much more comfortable than an F4 seat (They're terrible), as i tried that at the expo.

Thanks for the answers Steffen
Did I understand it correctly?Does the racing cube already come with sliding rails on where to mount the seat?
I think some pictures about this particular area would be nice to make the right seat choice
i’m about to order the racing cube and if everything goes right it will be shipped in May
what I’m trying to avoid is to wait for the racing cube to arrive before I can actually order a seat
If I already have a seat for when the racing cube arrives then I can immediately start to assemble it
The sparco seat you are using is very nice but it would probably non be the right one for me as I have to put a thing called Gametrix jet seat on top of the seat and looking at the sparco you are using, the front of the seat is not particularly suitable for my use
Any chance you can release some more details about the area of the racing cube where the seat is mounted?
holes positions
if it has or not a sliding sistem already in place
and some pictures?
that would be amazing
thanks!
