Hi, You say "To avoid the cables getting stuck in the simulator we’re limiting the rotation to 360degrees maximum",  is it possible to fit an electrical slip ring to the RC4, is there any technical reason why this can't be done?.  The reason I would like one fitted is so there is no limit. I have two ideas how this can be done so the cables from the power supply and the computer don't get tangled up in the RC4. this could be manufactured by you and sold with the RC4 or one of the ideas can be retrofit so if the customer is not happy with the 360degrees limit they can purchase the add-on, as long as the limit can be turned off in the software.   I am not a mechanical or electrical engineer so what I am proposing might not be possible.  Thanks

Hi!

The specs you are defining here will be arriving in the commercial version. The reason we are not doing it now is because the computer is not attached to the simulator. Oculus and other latency sensitive equipment will not be able to pass through a slip ring. The way we solve that on the commercial version is to build the computer into the simulator.

It can be done to the consumer version, but we are also concerned about the price.

Hi Steffen, thanks for the reply. as you can see from my crude drawings the computer is attached to the simulator. would this not work, or would the motion of the simulator be too violent for a home computer?.

That will be too heavy and violent. However we have a good solution coming up soon.
