$32! rediculous! I am expecting to pay about US$1100 in New Zealand

Are you sure? that seems really high as the tariff code in most countries is 0%. Can you confirm that?

Sorry for late reply, only noticed this now, it is not a tariff, it is New Zealand's version of VAT called GST which is levied at a flat 15% on the whole import cost (including shipping).  There is also a handling fee (estimated US$40) to cover the shipping agents time in collecting the 15% on behalf of customs

Yes that is quite high, however ours is 25% so i see you as lucky =)

25% wow, well that & my 12.5% are a small price to pay for the privilege of living where we we do..

Anyway I paid my US$1207 duties & clearance charges this morning so my order is not so far away now.
